Project Overview
EquiStay is a digital marketplace platform built specifically for the equestrian community. It enables horse owners to discover, compare, and book horse stables during travel, competitions, training, or overnight stays, while helping property owners list stables and manage bookings via a host dashboard.
Client Problem
Finding reliable horse stables while traveling was a fragmented, manual process relying on outdated directories and social media groups. Stable owners lacked tools to showcase facilities and manage booking logistics digitally.
Our Solution
We designed and developed a scalable two-sided marketplace platform with dedicated, responsive Guest and Host flows, map coordinates integration, and Cloudinary media management.

Research & Wireframes
Analyzed travel behaviors of equestrian competitors across Western Europe, highlighting specific needs for stall size criteria, vet availability, and secure facilities. Created clean layout wireframes mapping the search-to-checkout booking funnel and host listing creation guides.
Figma Prototyping
Constructed high-fidelity interactive Figma prototypes to validate booking flows and host dashboard interactions.
Development & Deploy
Coded using Flutter for cross-platform efficiency, integrated Firestore for real-time notifications, and Node.js for payouts. Conducted automated unit testing alongside beta testing with 50 active horse owners in Belgium. Managed key compilation and deployment pipelines, launching mobile clients to Apple and Google Play stores.
